Today you will taste an array of wines from around the world hand selected by our distribution partners Lirette Selections & Bizou Wines & Distributors. Meet the team and learn about the fine wines you will be tasting.
Our VIP “Tasting Room” will be staffed with our local experts from the “Tasting Room” on Magazine Street.
Our partners are the best in the business. Matt Lirette, founder of Lirette Selections, has personal ties to the Lower Coast – he lives and works here and is one of the most respected importers/distributors in the region.
As former wine buyers and sommeliers for New Orleans finest restaurants such as Emeril Lagasee’s restaurants, John Besh Restaurant Group and many other fine New Orleans establishments, Lirette has a team of professionals on staff who will discuss their selections personally with you. Lirette selections specializes in artisanal wines and hand-crafted products and imported wines from around the world including Italy, France and Croatia.
Matt does not represent “brands”…he is the “brand”, hand selecting each and every bottle Lirette Selection represents. Their products are featured in New Orleans finest restaurants, and the focus is on small bottle shops and on-premise sales.
Bizou Wines & Distributors and Owner Dr. James Moises is the newest member of the team. Dr. Moises, is a native New Orleanian with Mid-City roots who combines wine, food, art and medicine in a unique way. With a background in Emergency Medicine and a passion for wine, James is a jack of all trades. Through Moises Wines and Krewe du Bizou Wines, James supports many local non-profits, all trying to make the city healthier and more vibrant.
Krewe du Bizou Wines is a distributor of fine wine specializing in artisan brands primarily from the most touted grape growing regions of Oregon. Our expertise lies in the representation of boutique wines of depth, grace and character that focus on quality rather than quantity. While handcrafted Oregon wine is our expertise, we also offer a fine collection of small production wines from California, Washington, New York, France, South Africa, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, Argentina, and Chile.
